Campanion App

We’re striving to bring parents closer to their camper’s experience, and this summer we’re using an amazing new app called Campanion to do just that.

The best things about it? It helps with all of your pre-camp preparations and you get fun updates and photos of your camper right on your phone. Campanion makes you feel closer to your camper’s experience than ever before.

Whether you’re looking for photos of your camper, or want exciting updates about their adventures this summer, Campanion is the App for you. We’re using this app to share all this amazing content. Just head over to campanionapp.com, download the app, sign in, and follow the instructions to upload a training photo. You’ll be all set for a summer of fun updates!

Email Your Camper

Riverview provides two separate options to email your camper.

Option 1 – Riverview Website (free) One-Way email messaging

Option 2 – Campanion App

One feature we are so excited about is how Campanion makes sending letters easier than ever. Using the Letters feature in the app, you’ll be able to write emails to your camper daily.

We’ll also upload handwritten messages from your camper, which you can read right in the app. And, there’s no need to buy “stamps” or “stationery”. It’s included with Campanion.

Suggestions

  • Please keep letters positive, upbeat, cheerful, newsy and DO NOT SHARE BAD NEWS or “I miss you so much” …please remind her of how excited (proud) you are about her being so independent and that you love seeing her smiles in the online photos!
  • If your child is young you might want to prepare some self-addressed, stamped envelopes or postcards to make mailing from camp easier. We know that you want to hear from your child too, and children are encouraged to write home. Please consider “transit” time and know it will be a few days before you receive that first letter. If you don’t receive a lot of mail from your camper, just remember, she is having a great time and is often too busy to write. You may want to consider our one-way Email service (free). Or, utilize the Bunk 1 services.
  • Please do not send food to your camper.  Food in the cabin sometimes attracts “little critters”.  In addition, it can be a divisive factor when not shared with everyone.  It can also be a health hazard to campers with severe food allergies!
