It's time to get ready for fun
Nature's Classroom
The Riverview campus is also the site for the unique and well-known Nature’s Classroom Atop Lookout Mountain, an exciting, experiential education program that has existed on a national level for more than 30 years and in Alabama since 1991. As a member of the Association for Experiential Education, the program provides an individually tailored format for each group’s needs. Private and public schools as well as home-based school programs from all over the southeast attend this popular educational experience. Want to know more? Contact Nature’s Classroom @ 256-634-4443 for information for your child’s school program, or visit them online: www.naturesclassroom.com.
Lizzie Cheatham McBay is the Director for Nature’s Classroom
where she combines experience and passion for
experiential outdoor-learning. A Wofford graduate, she most recently
served as the School and Community Access Manager at the Creative Discovery
Museum in Chattanooga, TN overseeing camps and field trips for the
museum. Riverview and Nature’s Classroom share a special place in her heart:
she’s spent every summer here since the age of nine. After her time as a camper
ended, she became a counselor and later, after college, served as a
Riverview intern then teacher for Nature’s Classroom. She is thrilled to bring
her years of camp and outdoor-education experience to provide high quality
learning and life-long memories to students.
